I know a handful of couples who got married at that church.
It's my first time doing the whole plein air thing with my A4 watercolor sketchbook. Using a whole page spread though takes too much time, especially if your are sitting in direct sunlight. By the time you are done, you are sweating and dehydrated.

Japan Charity Bazaar, Zurich

Sketching is most fun when the sun is shining because it gives you clear, crisp and exciting shadows on objects :-)

The Recovery Nippon Project held a Charity Bazaar in Zurich today.
Lovely atmosphere, interesting food, nice cookies, massages, haircuts, books, tea ceremony, traditional dances, kids games, barbecue, nail painting, art...
There were also lots of cameras on the property because next door they did the pre-casting for The Biggest Swiss Talents (Die grössten Schweizer Talente).

Doodles of week 34

My washing has been lying in my living room for a week now and is waiting to be ironed... if you can only do your laundry every second week, it piles up quickly.

The doodle on the right was done within 10 minutes after I missed my bus and waited for the next one at BackWerk.
Das Gekritzel rechts machte ich in den 10 Minuten nachdem ich meinen Bus verpasst hatte und auf den nächsten im BackWerk wartete.

Heute kaufe ich mir ein Fahrrad! Kann's kaum abwarten - das Einzige, um das ich mir noch sorgen mache, ist die Frage wo ich einen deutschen Zollstempel am Bahnhof bekomme. Die 19% MwSt will ich schon noch zurückbekommen! 

Nikolausen hatte ein "Quartierfäscht" am Wochenende und da ich keinen meiner Nachbarn wirklich richtig kenne, habe ich mein Skizzenbuch mitgenommen und ein wenig skizziert. Prompt kam einer aus dem Veranstaltungsteam und wollte wissen, ob ich zur Presse gehöre. Kommt davon, wenn man öffentlich zeichnet.
Muss wohl an der Sonnenbrille gelegen haben.
