Banana Bundt Cake (aka Gugelhupf)

It's been a while that I had a brush in my hand. Or blogged here. I have overused my arms at both home, painting, and at work, typing and handling stacks and stacks of paper. So, I have been taking it easy during the past few weeks, and will need to continue to do so.
Yesterday was the first time I did a watercolor sketch again in a long time (it felt rather wobbly).

Here it is, with the corresponding recipe!

Dirty Dishes

Most of the time when I come home, my kitchen looks like this. By the end of the week, I really cannot avoid it any longer and I have to actually do the dishes.
Well, not tonight - I decided to sketch it all before getting my hands all soapy. I got carried away and so another evening goes by in which I leave the kitchen mess untouched. It will all be clean come Monday though. Grrrrrmppphhh.

Here is proof I do clean them.

Oatmeal breakfast

I am on holiday!

That means I've got a looot of time in the morning to sketch my breakfast while waiting for it to cool down 😋 Oh I am enjoying this so much!!!

...and I was sketching in my triad sketchbook, too, with just three colors:
French Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson, Aureolin Yellow.

Goodbye cookies

It's my last day at work tomorrow. It's been a crazy year this year. In some ways I am sad to leave my fantastic team and colleages from the other departments. The relationship between work mates was one of a kind, and I will not be saying goodbye, because I made friends there and we will keep meeting up and hanging out.

On the other hand, it is time.
Stress has worked its way right up to my gums which are painfully inflamed now.
I cannot even eat the yummy goodbye cookies I made tonight!

Swiss BIMI

Last night a couple of my colleagues met up for Japanese dinner in Zurich. It was so delicious it made me want to go travel to Japan and explore food, people and country right away. Mmmmmh!

EDM #25 - Draw a glass

Everyday Mattersthe book and the challenge list
AlltäglicheDinge/Jeder Tag Zähltdas Buch und die Herausforderung

I got hit by a full-blown cold on the weekend. Time to recuperate.
Wurde am Wochenende voll von einer Erkältung erwischt. Zeit zum Gesundwerden.

EDM #19: Draw something you've made

Everyday Mattersthe book and the challenge list
AlltäglicheDinge/Jeder Tag Zähltdas Buch und die Herausforderung

I made this back in November for the office... yes, with the tools from EDM #16!

"Milch Torte

Schoellershammer 250g/m2
Windsor & Newton half pan watercolors, Cotman I think
A4. Was nice to go bigger for a change, but it takes more time of course.

Food doodles

I prefer the watercolor Moleskines over the sketchbook Moleskines.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Not much today - I'm in the middle of University exams and supposed to be studying. However, I put myself under so much unnecessary stress that I am too tired to sit at the desk and read all my books. I also think it's better to be rested and concentrated than pulling an all-nighter 'studying'.
So... I am reading articles about chocolate chip cookies - and I must say, that is almost like eating one!
Quest for the Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie (en)
