I was given a Pentax K200D camera on the weekend to play around with for a week. I haven't ventured about the city (and it's castle & parks) with it as I am still recovering from a bad cold, but these are some of the photos I've taken in and around the house.

Mir wurde am Wochenende eine Pentax K200D zum Ausprobieren für eine Woche geliehen. Ich war damit noch nicht draussen in der Stadt (und deren Schloß & Gärten) weil ich mich zur Zeit noch von einer schweren Erkältung auskuriere, aber hier sind schonmal ein paar Fotos die ich im Haus und drumherum gemacht habe.

Also eigentlich nur ein paar Figuren kopieren. So weit, so Spaß! ;-)

Sir Jehan de Mandeville, on his travels wide and multifarious, dutifully penned descriptons of all the marvellyous creatures and beastys that he encountered on his travels.

However, having acquired prudence with regards to his little-travelled kinsfolk of Albion, for whom even crossing the Stormie Manche to the Lande of the Treacherous Frenche was an exploit beyond ken, he did not include those most marvellously wondrous of marvels that he witnessed, contenting himself with Amphisbaena, Catopolbas, Bonnacons, Barnacle Geese, Vegetable Lambs, Cinnamologi, Elephants, Monocerii, Ichmeumenons, Leucrotas and other commonplace creatures, that his tale might carry more credence on the domestic market.

This month's theme is dedicated to the OTHER pages of his notebooks, the ones he left out, complete with his observations.

I had those three copies of my thesis for only 30 minutes. Picked them up from the copy shop, went straight to university and handed them in.

Nur 30 Minuten lagen zwischen dem Abholen der 3 Exemplare und dem Einreichen der BA-Arbeit an der Uni.

Today I registered for my final examination: the Bachelor thesis! I'll write about "The history and development of diphthongs in three Southern hemisphere varieties of English" and the official writing period will be from June 1st - July 15th. Not so long anymore...

Heute habe ich mich für meine letzte Prüfungsleistung angemeldet: die Bachelorarbeit! Ich werde über "Die Geschichte und Entwicklung von Diphthongen in drei Varietäten des Englishen der Südlichen Hemisphäre" schreiben. Der offizielle Zeitraum zum Schreiben ist der 1. Juni - 15. Juli. Das ist schon recht bald....

Erinnert ein wenig an Indiana Jones, was unbeabsichtigt war.

I am preparing for my last two exams at the moment, and it's just not happening! Neighbours drill the walls at random times of the day, I get distracted, or I read the same things over and over again because the subjects are too similar.
Ah well. Time. If only I could make it stop for a while.

Ich bereite mich gerade auf meine letzten zwei Klausuren vor, und es klappt einfach nicht! Die Nachbarn bohren zu den verrücktesten Tageszeiten in die Wand, Ich bin abgelenkt, oder ich lese dieselben Dinge immer und immer wieder weil meine Fächer sich so ähnlich sind.
Naja. Zeit. Wenn ich sie doch nur kurz anhalten könnte.

As I am nearing the end of my moleskine sketchbook I thought I'd share the last few sketches that I made. I have started taking the sketchbook to University again because all we do now is listening to student presentations. It can get quite boring.

Da ich mich momentan dem Ende meines Moleskine Sketchbooks nähre, wollte ich die letzten paar Skizzen zeigen. Ich habe wieder angefangen, mein Skizzenbuch zur Uni zu nehmen, denn zur Zeit machen wir nur Präsentationen und das ist richtig langweilig.
